When the owner of Herbs Make Scents and I first connected, she was the owner of a burgeoning tea shop in a quaint New England town. With DECADES of experience as an entrepreneur and an incredible wealth of knowledge in herbs, teas, and skincare, Herbs Make Scents, and its owner, were on a wild journey with so much to look forward to.
And that journey included more than just tea! Yes, exceptional quality, incredibly delicious loose leaf tea was still very much at the heart of the brand, but they were expanding into all kinds of herbal products and gifts. The challenge at that moment was how to take the 2 existing concepts of Herbs Make Scents (a brick and mortar tea shop) and HMS Tea (a wholesale distributor of packaged loose leaf teas) and combine them into something cohesive WITH the addition of herbal gifts.
